I am a Certified Health and Well-being Coach, Nutrition Consultant, and Grief Educator with over two decades of experience helping clients heal from pain, hormonal imbalances, and many chronic issues related to diet and lifestyle. My journey began as a massage and yoga therapist, evolving into roles as a grief educator, nutritionist, and health coach. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working closely with diverse clients, gaining profound insights into their well-being while fine-tuning my intuitive skills.
I am passionate about understanding the science behind wellness and distilling the latest research into useful and doable practices. While knowledge is important, it is not enough. True well-being involves making real changes to diet, mindset, and lifestyle. Change can feel overwhelming, yet with the guidance of a coach, it is not only achievable but an inspirational journey filled with positive side effects.
I am thrilled to introduce and share this transformative program with you, so you can benefit from my extensive experience and dedication to fostering real health and well-being.
I have struggled with anxiety most of my adult life, but venturing into motherhood later in life, put me in early perimenopause and added a new layer of trauma, grief, and hormonal imbalance to the mix. A hard pregnancy and traumatic birth resulted in undiagnosed postpartum depression, PMDD, attention deficit, chronic fatigue, and a general feeling of falling short as a mother. When both my parents were diagnosed with Alzheimer’s I ended up caretaking on two fronts. I became a nutritionist to manage my symptoms, prioritize my brain health, and help women with similar concerns.
Navigating the realm of grief following the abrupt loss of my parents, I was able to make new connections between my various anxiety symptoms and unattended emotions, trauma, and grief. This transformative insight unfolded with the invaluable support of coaching and inspired me to train in this powerful new approach to helping my clients.
Too many of us are struggling alone, falling through the gaps of our medical and societal systems. My mission as a coach is to help other women at a deeper level, acknowledging and addressing the intricacies of their complex experiences.
Health is foundational for happiness and optimizing it can benefit every other aspect of your life. Most chronic illnesses are caused by or exacerbated by lifestyle choices. Coaches are expert facilitators of the mindset and behavior changes needed for creating a sustainable healthy lifestyle that fosters for true well-being.
What I found so personally transformative about coaching is that it gave me a sense of hope and focus. My wellness vision became my orientation and my shorter and longer goals that aligned with that vision gave focus and confidence in myself and my ability to change and grow. I ended up with more energy and joy as my life started to feel in a flow again. This was all possible with the support of a coach who helped me stay focused, accountable, and inspired.
I chose the Wellcoaches certification program because they are considered the gold standard for high impact, evidence-based, coach training. Wellcoaches wrote the Coaching Psychology manual, blending the best of positive psychology and design thinking to help clients generate intrinsic motivation, confidence, and self-efficacy, by utilizing strong relational coaching skills.
